First unit of ACMWind installed in Italy

We are delighted of announcing that it has been installed the first ACMWind in Italy, at Basilicata region. This achievement is the result of the successful agreement between ACMWind and a company of recognized prestige from Italy.

One unit has been installed in a wind turbine rated 850KW and over the next weeks it will be moved to several others with different faults. The data will be accessed remotely and the ACMWind team will analyse them to identify the defects.

Failures contribute directly to maintenance/operational costs and consequently the cost of energy. Our purpose with ACMWind is to improve efficiency and increase profitability with a low-cost acoustic CM system able to detect faults in drivetrain components, reducing the downtime of the wind turbines and leading to considerable savings.  Thanks to this partnership ACMWind team will be working on the last modifications and improvements to the system to get ready to market in 2019.

Closer to turn a disruptive idea into reality. We will keep you updated with the latest ACMWind news!

Join us now and be one of the distributors of this disruptive CM system

ACMWind will be available to the market in the beginning of 2019 and our team is looking for companies interested to be the first ones to have ACMWind in their sales portfolio.

Our purpose with ACMWind is to improve efficiency and increase profitability with a low-cost acoustic CM system, adding value over the long-term, saving significant costs in subsequent operations and improving availability thus increasing wind turbine operating life.

Do you want to be our distributor? Please be in contact with us. By signing our distributor agreement your company will not be subjected to any obligation. Your only commitment is to be beneficiated for being one of the first distributors.

Upcoming Webinar

The majority of wind turbine failure is caused by faults in the drivetrain.  Vibration-based condition monitoring is widely used for assessing wind turbine drivetrain components, however, the cost of such systems can be high.  In response to this, a novel new technique, based on airborne sound generated by the rotating machinery and using microphone sensors, is being developed which can reduce the cost of condition-based maintenance for wind turbines.

Join our webinar to find out how failures on the drivetrain can be detected using the airborne emissions detected by a microphone installed in the nacelle.  In addition, attendees will learn how faults can be localised, providing wind farm operators with vital information they can incorporate into their maintenance planning and scheduling. X REOLTEC Assembly

The X REOLTEC Assembly took place last Monday in Madrid, Spain. REOLTEC, the technology platform of the Spanish wind industry, gathered in the event more than 50 representatives of the major wind energy companies.

Relevant issues as the technological response to the market situation and the new network codes, as well as the position of the industry in the offshore wind were addressed in the meeting.

In addition, some innovative R+D+I projects were presented and our project manager was there disseminating ACMWind.  The attendees showed a great interest in the novel technology that will be adopted by ACMWind product. Several questions raised from the presentation which conducted to an interesting discussion regarding technology benefits.

We cannot tell you how proud and excited the ACMWind team is to continue working hard on this innovative solution that promises to revolutionize the wind energy market! Closer to turn a disruptive idea into reality.

Closer to turn a disruptive idea into reality

Promising results obtained in field trials!

The image below displays in the frequency domain the signals measured in a commercial wind turbine using both conventional accelerometers and ACMWind acoustic system. This ¬īclean¬ī spectrum was obtained through a novel algorithm that reduces the noise in the acoustic signal. A significant correlation between signals measured with accelerometers and microphones were achieved proving ACMWind great performance.

Now the ACMWind team will be working on the last modifications in the hardware and software to get ready to market. Closer to turn a disruptive idea into reality.

We will keep you updated with the latest ACMWind news!
